  • Course Description: The objective of this course is to clarify the necessity and strategies for improving educational methods in response to societal changes. In Japan, as in many advanced nations, the educational methods of the 20th century have come under criticism due to several societal changes. Techniques that enforce the authority of teachers, as represented by physical punishment, deteriorate the relationship between children and teachers. However, teachers often attempt to control children based on their past experiences. In this course, we will explore methods of education that respect the interests, curiosity, and characteristics of children. The key to successful classroom lies in ensuring diversity and inclusivity.
